if you can cut out the background showing only the coin it would help with potential identification.

This is not a coin, but a jeton or counter token, made for use in an abacus.

This is a Jeton of Nuremburg, Germany. They were popularly used in England and America in countinghouses back when accounting was done in Roman numerals. Can you make out all the letters in the legend? Often these were signed by their makers. It dates back to the 1600s or earlier.

It is the Jeton Nuremberg. It is actually this one:
Lion of Saint Mark
Obv. Winged Lion of St. Mark, holding Book of Gospels in forepaw
Rev. Imperial orb within a tressure of three arches and three angles

Your description of the reverse is correct but the obverse has three crowns and three lis' surrounding a rose. This was made in Germany for export . There are many hundreds of designs on jetons. This is not the lion design. See the book by Michael Mitchner on Jetons of Germany to better narrow down which one you have here.
