GFR3 Valued Member United States 473 Posts	Posted 04/03/2008 7:09 pm 1954s....I know of a couple shops in the North Jersey area, though, through personal experience, they're all kinda tough to get to without a car. The closest to JC would probably be this one shop near Elizabeth off of highway 22 in Cranford (i think). I believe it is called "Washington's Coins" or something to that effect. There's another one somewhere out near Elizabeth called "Hillsborough Rare Coins". I rather like that one and have the number if you're interested. There are also a couple on Staten Island, though they are not all that good(like basically everyhting on this island ;) ). There's also going to be our monthly coin-show this weekend if you're interested and can get a ride. Its relatively small, but the dealers who set-up there are always very knowledgable and always have a deal for you. --gary Report this Post to the Staff

It is the Garden State Numismatic Association annual convention. I am new to collecting as well and I am planning to attend.
