Got this as a gift from a friend over 15 years ago; he got it (and the others I'm about to show) from his parents.

Real?
Any other info you can instill into my head will be greatly appreciated.
There is no red on the coin; my camera is red (bright red! LOL) that red on the pic is the reflection of the camera.

The first Morgan from 1880 has a dark silver color, but is shiny.

Now I'm posting my other (I only have 2 total) Morgan, from 1890, this one has a golden tone (except the rim).

Here it is...

Hello. Both are genuine Morgan dollars. The dark color on the 1880 looks kind of weird, but perhaps it's just the lighting. It does appear to have been wiped at some point (see cheek). The 1890 has been cleaned and exhibits subsequent toning.

Yeah, sometimes pictures don't convey the true appearance of a coin, but in this day and age it's good for you that they're simply genuine.

Many come to this forum with a family heirloom coin only to find out that it is fake. At least you've got the real deal.

INdeed! My friend and his parents are very nice people who collected coins, stamps and Americana memorabilia for emotional value. Very genuine people. I trust them with my life particularly because they were nearly as OCD as I am!
I ask just to triple check and because it's nice people like them that get scammed sometimes.

ty so much!

I think if these were slabbed, they would only get a "details" grading.
