Two weeks ago Sat. I went to a nearby city to hunt with a fellow that I had met on another forum and his son. We went to his church for a fund-raiser breakfast and met his son there. He tells his son, "this guy is a professional." I loaned one of my detectors to the son 11 years old to use, a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 101. Only one time has it failed that I loan one of my detectors to a newbie that they didn't find jewelery, good or junk but jewelery. Well the dad found modern coins and a really neat Spanish coin, the kid finds modern coins and a 14K pendant from a necklace. What did I find? Two clad dimes, eight mem cents, a piece of copper tubing with a brass compression fitting, a pop can and an aluminum gutter nail. Life is good when your a professional.

4sure, just like when I take guests duck hunting. You always let them have the best shots. You were simply being very gracious.

Shamrock,

Whether you were trying to be gracious or not, I think that is what I would tell people I was doing. I took my brother-in-law out last weekend. I started dropping coins so he could find something. Nobody tell him that.
