I enjoy date blunders like this. First 0 in the date punched too high and too far left, also remnants of an errant 7, but the extra 0 is clear as day.

Not only a beauty but an unrecorded error too, wow!
I've been searching and can't find mention of this anywhere but, absolutely no doubt, there it is clear as day. Very rare at least.
Was it sold to you as an error coin or simply a high grade 1770 halfpenny?
