Please Help Me To Identify This Old Coin!

Ow3qa New Member Romania 8 Posts	Posted 03/13/2017 07:27 am I found this coin on a sales site the price for this coin is 70$. Personally find it to be a Roman coin, but I think it's fake! The coin size is 26 mm and the thickness is 2 mm. Report this Post to the Staff

I suspect it may be a Philip I from Kallatis (Callatis) but can't match up both the obverse and reverse. Here are Philip I's from Kallatis...obverses seem a good match for the OP coin: Here are a couple of Caracalla's from Kallatis...reverses come close to matching: Perhaps the OP is a Philip that I haven't spotted the reverse for? On reverse you can barely see KAL in Greek at the rear of the horse and ...TIANWNE continuing above the head of the horse.
