I used to live in Massachusetts. I enjoyed looking out my back window at the snow, but then I had to go out in it.
Now I live in Florida. We hade a below average temperature today; it was in the high 60s or low 70s depending on where you were. Some of the locals had on long sleeves and even hoodies, but not me. I enjoyed the fresh air!
Look at it this way. Given the time of year, it won't stay in the ground for long. One year when I lived in Massachusetts, the worst snow storm of the year was in April. It didn't last for long after the first bad day.

I live near Portland, Oregon. Despite our latitude (north of the 45th parallel) we don't get much snow, thanks to our altitude and proximity to the ocean.

We've had naught but a few dustings of snow here in Tennessee. I don't much miss all that shoveling I did up north. The cold, uncomfortable weather does tend to encourage the spending of more time with the coins. Here's a winter acquisition, that's the product of two Trade dollars ... Looks to be an original photo, and the inner side is engraved, making it a combination "box dollar" and "love token."
