I understand that prices for 1934-S PDs in MS have risen in the past few years. I am considering an MS 63/64 example for my set.

In your opinion, do you think that this coin is still undervalued or do you presume the price will drop for these coins.

Everybody get out your crystal ball!

That is a good question and I happen to think they are probably fully valued. The PD's I think may be sleepers are the 1927, 1927S, 1928, 1934 and the 1921.
All those coins have low mintage and can be had in MS63 for less than $1000. There are other PD's with mintage of less than 2 million in MS63 for small money IMO. People have been waiting years for these coins to "wake up" and be given consideration. They are still waiting as am I.
Rest in Peace

Prices were highest for the mid-level mint states way back before the 1989 slab crash.

Present values in 63 and 64 haven't moved much except a slight increase in 2010 or near that date. Otherwise 63 prices have been stagnant with modest increases for 64.

There are relatively few graded by PCGS or NGC in comparison to most other dates near the same mintage and the 34-S has always had a mythic reputation in all mint states.

There are few buyers who can afford most of those so the prices alone dictate less demand and I don't see the prices increasing nor decreasing anytime soon.

What would put some fire in coin prices? I see volatility in gold and silver but numismatic coin values seem stuck in neutral. How long must we wait. I am not getting any younger.
