I don't think this coin is going to grade very high,Because of the scratches,But I'd like to get your input. To me it's in fairly good condition. The coin does have the normal chrome look to it,I'm still trying to figure out lighting. Also would this be a coin I should send in to get graded? I thank you for your time!

Keep in mind that I'm still learning the finer points of grading so take anything I write with a grain of salt.

From what I have learned, Well struck Nickels from this era can be hard to come by. While the steps on this nickel are well defined there are other details on Montecello that are not well defined. As for getting this graded I think this would come back as XF-40 to AU -50 at best, it would not even get a FS designation because of the dings. So after paying the grading fee you would have a coin worth about $2.00. Not worth it in my opinion. The coin is nice and if I had it I think I would keep it in my collection but I would not put it in my Dansco album.
Rest in Peace

First and foremost , do not send this coin in to Anyone ! You have to remember that Full Steps mean all steps show without any interruptions such as heavy scratches and hits . Your coin is slightly circulated with multiple scratches .

Are you pullin' these from rolls?

If so, any grade given here should have a +.

That's a definate saver for a completely hunted set, for sure.

Every coin I post comes from a roll. I know some people buy/sell coins. That's fine I'm not saying that's wrong in any way shape or form, But to me The excitement comes from finding something that has been wrapped up and sent on. I actually just got a box of Jefferson's from my bank that has rolls in it from a bank that has been closed for at least 15 years! I'm really excited! So far the newest coin I've found was 2005 water scene!
