Again I'm asking for help of CCF members.
I've been asked to help organize a small banknote collection. Nothing special except this strange banknote. It Ukrainian 50 Karbowanez from 1942 (German occupation). But It's only printed on one side.
My first thought was that it's simply a photocopy, but I know for a fact that this banknote was obtained by a local museum in 1950's.

Another thing that makes me wonder is print on the edges. It reads: AUTORIZZ. MINISTERIALE N. 34101.

Back side is, as seen, empty; someone wrote number 12on it.

Dimensions 7 x 12 cm.

Is this perhaps some sort of emergency issue?

Hello. I am not familiar with this specific note, but I have seen many German banknotes that were only printed on one side. (If you like, I can scan some of them for you.)
Perhaps during the hyperinflation times they tried to simplify and minimize expenses?

I would be happy if you scanned an example or two. Do your banknotes also have edge prints like this one.
At this point I am mainly interested if the note is genuine (i.e. was used as money).

I don't think this piece was intended to be used as money. It was likely a specimen showing what the design looked like.

The printed method looks different. I don't think it should be dots when seen under magnification.

Perhaps it's some sort of museum or display copy?

Sorry for the delay. It got busy here.
Here are a few samples with blank backsides. I can probably find some additional ones if you would like me to continue.

A genuine 50 karbonowez note like the one in the original post is a two-sided note. It is not uniface like the German notes Spott shows.
