I've seen the zincolns with lines like this a hundred times, but not on a nickel. Is this normal? Thanks for any advice!

Looks like some how the die got scratched - too big for polishing lines.

It's hard to say what, but it sure looks to me like something scratched across the fields on the die. Die scratches.

So die scratches would be a mint issue. Does it add anything to the coin or take away? I'm still keeping it,But just wondering. I have another coin like this but the lines are huge! I'll try to find it and post it here.

Any mint error that adds interest, can add some value. In my opinion that doesn't quite apply on this one.
