Hey everyone came across this 1992 d penny with a strange line across it. Did my research and I think its a die crack. Can anyone confirm this for me thnx

Could it be a gas bubble?

It looks more like gas bubbles from polishing.

There is a good possibility that is a plating bubble. If you push on it with a tooth pick, and it dents then that is what it is.

It is a linear plating bubble, caused by a streak of contamination on the zinc core before copper electroplating. It is a fairly common occurrence on 1980s and 90s Zincolns.
