This should be interesting. Has anyone a link to what the commemorative note will look like?

Assuming this will be the Viola Desmond note if it's a $10 but the announcement says commemorative for Canada150 so that seems unlikely.

Or a new regular $10 note for Desmond and another $10 note as a commemorative. That's muddying the waters a bit.

I think it would be awesome if they made some mosaic of Canada or a melding of all the winning coin designs that are part of the 2017 circulation coins

I really really really hope.... they make a clear window with the Coloured Canada 150 Emblem.. that would be simply awesome

Wow , what a busy piece of garbage! That note is bark ugly in my not so humble opinion. That said congrats to Agnes Mcphail for being the first woman on the front of a BOC banknote.

40 million of the commemorative notes will be available beginning June 1st. Guessing much like the Longest Reign banknote it will be issued with four or maybe five prefixes.

I am reserving any criticism for the new note which seems to attempt to convey many different themes.

Most impressed that the Canadian Coat of Arms has returned after more than a decade absence.

Not sure if I like a bunch of strangers on a bank note together.

Where are Canada's banknotes printed? Definitely not printed by the RCM. Does the Bank of Canada own its own printing equipment or is it outsourced to a 3rd party?

Bank of Canada has a contract with the ''Canadian Bank Note Company'' in Ottawa to print all Canadian banknotes.
