Oh no! Bare fingers not only on the rim, but also directly on the coin itself. What a shame.
lol
By the way, that 3D Elk coin looks great. Very detailed and impressive.

Nice medal, but too expensive. I like the double cameo portraits and the maple leaf field design is neat. It looks like the frosted cameo parts are stippled to add contrast to the mirrored parts. Low mintage, but who has a spare $900 for a cookie sized piece of NCLT. Maybe Easy Pay on TSC would help those who really want it. Can't see myself financing a coin.

Thanks for the post C. Now that I see it for the first time... yes it is a stunning coin!
$900 however is a bit too much for my pre-retirement budget...
I'll keep a closer look on the secondary market.

$899.95 is official issue price, can't find this price anywhere now.

Thank you for great pictures, Looney4Numi
The coin is great and you will enjoy it in your collection.
But just to correct in order to prevent disappointment: hopefully you picked it up for design and not "to have in collection the coin that holds it value". Sorry if it sounds negative, but for long term (1 year+) the potential buyers will be ready to pay issue and less..... This is my thought and hopefully I mistake.

Usually, I prefer to wait for a price drop before buying RCM coins, but believe that the issue price of $899.95 - discount is the lowest we'll see for this coin. If I'm wrong, so be it. Willing to take the chance on this beauty.

If anyone is looking for the Confederation Medal, the Vancouver Mint Boutique has one in stock at issue price. A very nice looking coin. But I found it smaller than expected.
