Maybe not forums plural but I wonder if it would be possible to have a permanent type forum at the top such as the ones like Perpetual Giveaway or Welcome-Introduce Yourself. This one would be for the constant, continuous, repetitive questions such as cleaning coins, coin shows or a link to Coin World for coin shows, reputable coin dealers, Metals for coins, etc. Not sure what it could be called though. I know that cleaning coins is a topic that is repeated here and everywhere over and over and over.
The ones I mentioned are just suggestions and I'm sure there are many such topics that get repeated over and over. Other forum members could add to that list when they see the same type of question repeated numerous times.
We now have a separate forum for photography and that could be part of the this new permanent type forum.
Note we also have a forum called Contests and that could be part of the Perpetual Givaway forum but changed to say Perpetual Givaway and Contests.
I like this forum where a person can suggest improvements. May not be good ones but any suggestions from the members are always a chance for improvements.

Carl, I agree that some questions can be very repetitive and that there should be some way to address them. Especially when someone like Bill, Coop, Chuck, Superdave et al have taken time to write a very education treatise on a subject like Machine Doubling. I had thought it could be added to the nav bar to the left as a reference. Anyway, I support your idea.

The FAQ/Beginner Thread, and it should have all the answers to the questions that get asked everytime a new member joins

As Jim1953 said the highly educational answers to some questions will soon get lost and then the same question will be repeated by those that never saw them. The Machine Doubling explanation is a great example.

That will stop nothing. All the repetitive posts will still be posted. 99% of new members don't read the rules, they surely won't read A FAQ.

A FAQ sounds easy, but it's not. For example...

Tell me the official answer on cleaning. I'd love to hear it.

Part of the reason CC is so popular is that every question gets a personalized answer.

We are going to address a lot of the error / variety / doubling questions starting probably next month. Yes, I said we. Y'all are going to help me with a new error section detailing each type with awesome photos and descriptions.
