Nice pics. It's not an error, it happened after the strike. It may have been soda or something left on it for a long time. It's impossible to tell for sure, call it Environmental Damage. Did I say nice pics?

Yep, some kind of corrosive effect, even see the chemical residue (whitish) left behind. You can see how its etched into the copper.

Some type of corrosive liquid as it settled on the lower surfaces and not the raised devices.
