Hello everyone-

I am trying to collect world coins from 1886, and today I was looking at the Spanish 5 Peseta. It seems that they made it in 1886 and 1887 but with 1885 stamped on it. But since the books all list the dates separately, I'm assuming there must be a way to distinguish between the dates?

I have looked a lot online and searched the forum, but I haven't seen this discussed. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Have you checked the stars on both sides of the date for the true date?

Awesome! Thank you!

I'm just looking at pictures online, and I didn't notice that the little divot in that star was a date. Now I can see it.

Very cool coin. I'm going to get one now....
