I found this Cud tonight in a back roll. I think it is CU-5c-1976-01 from http://cuds-on-coins.com/jefferson-...1-1973-1979/ It looks like it has traveled a bit in the last 41 years. There is weakness on the reverse opposite the Cud. This is only my second nickel Cud; it is not pretty, but I'll take it!

Nice Cud - but this may not be a match - new possible listing.
The area on the right side of the Cud isn't matching and I don't know if that would come from wear on the coin or not. Lets see what the others think.

Two different Cuds, or maybe different die stages?

Just not looking the same to me - but I am still learning .

The OP's Cud is starting to head south before the listed one - so is this part of the die stage?

The op's coin leaves a small area on the die that could chip off.

Nice find!

Even though he's pretty beat up, I'd be happy to get one. No luck yet.

Yes CC, so simple huh? Sometimes we have to disregard our intellect and think the way the die thinks. lol Actually the later stage seems to have grown a little more on the left side and at the middle of the top too. All of that can happen without the stage of the other devices changing, so I think it sometimes it can be just a stage of the Cud. I say that because there is a set number of die stages.
