I got this in a bulk purchase of error/variety coins I made over the weekend. Any help appreciated.

Hi Bigsilver - you could be right. I was looking at the mushroom effect from the fields to the rim. I also notice a slight taper on the coin rim's edge; maybe just a quarter of the way tapered toward the obverse.

Clean coin. Many of the specimens I snagged are in flips that look like they were packaged about the 50s and early 60s.

Thanks for looking!
Rest in Peace

Hi John - Could be. I've been crossing my eyes trying to make out the date. I was thinking 1955 D but given most of the coins are 1953 through 1960, many being 1956 D, this could be. I found two 1956 D 1MM-001s in the mix as well!! I got very lucky! Kev
