I get called enough names outside of the forum

I like the current system. It is fair to all, and what could be better than Valued Member and Pillar of the community?

Not to be use on the forum
but we have
Doc
Duke of Coins
Doctor of Coins

Coc
Collector of Coins

Foc
Friar of Coins

Boc
Bishop of Coins

Roc
Reverence of Coins

Phd
Piled higher and deeper
for collectors of copies

The list could go on forever that is why we will keep it simple on the forum;
but it would be fun to see the kinds of nametags you can come up with.

I also am not in favor of titles based on the numbers of posts. I've also seen those forums with tiered titles which encourages such illuminating statements as, "Yup.", "I agree.", and "Huh?" just to jack up the numbers. None of what I've said is new to this thread, but I wanted to reinforce what we already have and discourage what we don't need.

Yup, I agree! Just kidding! I'm OK with the titles we have now (especially since I finally made Pillar!), but it could be fun to have some new ones too. Comic Relief anyone? Sorry Richard, I don't know if I'd want to be known as a Coc or a Foc! [:0]

How about titles for enthusiasm. If a memeber is very enthusiastic then he/she will get a higher sounding title.

Leave as is, all fancy titles will do is encourage useless posts to jack up the count for those who live to just see that number go up with mombo-jumbo comments.

That's why they would have titles for ENTHUSIASIM, so that it's not just number of posts but how much you write in your posts, or how much info. you give etc.

Does anybody actually pay attention to the title of the person posting anyway? If the subject header interests me then I read the post regardless if its from a pillar or valued member. We are here to share information and enjoy each others company not to participate in a posting race.
