Usually I can get them a bit cheaper if I contact them directly, they then can remove the item listing on ebay and sell it to me without having to deal with ebay fees. This way the seller doesn't have to do fees and I get a bit of a better deal. It's a win win for both parties.

With 100 quality posts, I am able to link to my ebay seller site. However, if you search by CCF member ebay sales, my items do not show up because I have not reached the 250 minimum quality posts required to "sell" in the forum. I see no "violation" of forum rules by a CCF member contacting me about an item listed for sale on ebay outside of the system.
If I were to receive an acceptable offer from a CCF member for an item I had for sale on ebay, I would sell to the CCF member and remove my listing from ebay.
