I don't use ebay or paypal but I look at member ebay coins and see some I might want to buy. Is it possible to contact them and purchase it through member ccf sales, is their name on ebay the same as here, if it can be done how would I go about it.

If I am understanding your question...
I think it would be a violation of ebay policy to try and purchase an item from ebay without going through ebay.
Why don't you try and open an ebay account and a PayPal account? It is free. (some sellers will agree to receive payment in check or cashier check so you could possibly skip the PayPal part.)

Thanks, I was not sure how that worked, I have not dealt with ebay and paypal for 10 years, I had an account and all of a sudden I did not, someone hacked them, not me, did something with my account and did not even admit it came through one of them instead of me, they had the power, they shut me down, I suppose they thought I would create another account but I did not like how they handled the issue, they took the easy way for them and kicked me to the curb.

i see. I would be pretty peeved being treated that way. Unfortunately, they do have too much power.
Good luck with what ever you choose to do.

ebay does state " ebay users are not allowed to complete sales or purchases outside of ebay, or to request that a sale be completed outside of ebay." Since you're not really an ebay user, this doesn't necessarily apply to you.

However, several dealers I've found on ebay list the same merchandise on their own corporate sites as well, often for 10-15% less than the prices shown on ebay. Unless I have an active ebay Bucks promotion, I'll buy from the dealer directly.

Frankly, ebay's policy doesn't have any teeth.

Edit to add: You could PM the CCF member to inquire. From what I see on ebay, sellers have the option to end a listing because "the item is no longer available". The seller may take some risk in doing that, but they wouldn't lose money in ebay or PayPal fees (if you pay by some other means). That said, it's still the seller's choice how to continue.

You can search through CCF members here: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/members.asp

In the left hand column is a link to their ebay accounts. There may be another cross reference as well but I can't find at the moment.

Xavierofgreen, with that many posts it must be okay to do but just to clarify this can be done without violating ccf policy

I have done business with several ccf members on here that have items on ebay. Usually I can get them a bit cheaper if I contact them directly, they then can remove the item listing on ebay and sell it to me without having to deal with ebay fees. This way the seller doesn't have to do fees and I get a bit of a better deal. It's a win win for both parties.

You need reach a certain number of posts on CCF to sell or link items for sale. The rules are here: http://goccf.com/t/221419

See the rules above. You have enough posts not to worry about violating CCF rules.

Send an email through the PM system inquiring about the item. It can't hurt.

if you contact them through eBays message portal it could cause trouble for the seller (and buyer) account

if you contact them here then it's really none of eBays business (unless there are bids on the items already and the seller cancels the auction to sell direct)

Even if you do a transaction with a CCF member, you're going to have to figure out how to transfer money unless you are bartering/trading. PayPal and Venmo are good options. Most big banks (like BoA) now allow you to send money to friends in a similar fashion to PayPal.
