But, I feel very skeptical about it. I thought Kookaburras have a premium price attached to it. Would there be a chance that it could be a fake coin? Here is the ebay auction of the coin I won. What do you guys think?

Maybe you just got lucky? Even some local coin stores will sell kooks and others close to spot price.
