Gotta love that inane corp-speak. Wouldn't it be far preferable to define this decision in user-specific terms, which after all inevitably determines the profitability? I can think of a few short, fitting words for Live Auctions myself. More and more, I see ebay's decisions framed in language that may suit their internal structure, but hardly addresses the needs and goals of the end-user, which incidentally is their source of revenue. Thus spake the self-important, slowly dying corporation.
Please pardon my op-ed...as this touches on one of my professional peeves.
