I received my LE SD Proof Set today. I'm happy to say the SD with red "150" looks better than what I was expecting. The red is definitely prominent, but the colour is a bit deeper (and richer) appearing on the coin than it is via the artist's rendering on the RCM web site. Also, the colour has a "painted on" solid appearance vs. the pixelated appearance seen on many of the RCM's colourized coins.

The micro maple leafs engraved into the field on the coin's reverse do add a nice touch of depth to a relatively flat overall design. The dimensioned globe-like appearance the MLs create is a nice touch. Of course, the map of Canada is far too large for the globe created but I'll just chalk that up to artistic license for the sake of the overall design. No real complaint on my part.

Overall, I'm happy with the SD and the fact it was part of a $99.95 proof set vs. another all silver proof set costing $234.95. The other coins in the set (all base metal) also look good.

Thanks Commems - didn't even know that those lines were maple leaves. Anyway, here is my photos of the whole set.

I didn't realize they were maple leafs either. And thanks both of you for sharing the photos and Commems for the thread, I was counting on you. The red 150 really stands out and adds a distinctive flare along with the other two that are coloured. Aside from the fact my SD collection wouldn't be complete without it, if I were to choose only one 2017 commemorative set it would be this one even though the rest of the coins are not silver. Will this be the last SD for 2017? I'd wouldn't bet on it.

@commems and @Dcadon

My set is awaiting my pickup at the post office. The pics look really good. Glad that I ordered this set.
