I ran across this Lincoln Cent just a short time ago and the first thing that popped in my head was Prisoner Cent, or what used to be, I say that because it looks as though it was die polished to try and clear up the clash marks. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I am still trying to learn and understand the what, why, and where these things happen. All I can really make out are 3 light vertical bars in the field in front of Lincolns face and what looks like a horizontal line directly behind the head. Am I on the right track with this coin, or am I still way out left field?
Thank you both! I tell ya, it is easy for one to get discouraged with learning "the ways of the error coin"There is definitely a lot to learn and a big thanks to all who has helped me to this point.
