That area of the metal mix must have been the most susceptible to the heat. I think the whole coin was heated for a short time or there would have been more damage. I don't see any markings like direct contact with a heat source, just the expansion/bulge. Therefore, I think it may have been in a room that didn't burn up in a house fire, or something like that. Of course I can only guess. Everybody's different, but if it was mine, I'd have a hard time spending it. It is unique. Report this Post to the Staff

But still odd I'm seen coins go true heat and yes is very similar but like you said still somehow need like I said not to crasy for it and thanks!
