Here are some pics of the coin.......I paid $29.00 for it from a dealer shop......is it worth it ?.....(.999 silver)......I know $9.00 silver melt.....but hopefully it's worth somewhere in the range I paid for it here in the U.S.
I know nothing of foreign coins and I actually bought it for my 9 year old niece......she is absolutely CRAZY about horses !... Her mother has her taking riding lessons....she has horse figurines and posters, etc. etc. etc.........so long story short...I thought it'd make a nice gift......but was it a good buy?
It's not quite "proof condition" either. It has been handled and there are marks and prints in the center on one side....so....
I know my pictures suck.......but this is the best I can do here in the office at this time.

rggoodie...........

Thanks for the info !.......like I said though, it ISN'T proof condition.....there is some damage to it.
On the center of the horse there are small scratches and "prints" there that are painfully obvious to see even without a microscope......but I do feel good now that I know it's price was "reduced" for that reason....
FYI.....he had a tenth oz. gold piece exactly like the one I got in silver.....but I don't remember his price on it, nor was I interested at the time.....
This is the same dealer telling me that he pays 8 and a half times face for "silver coins"......whereas another dealer I recently discovered in town said he pays "a minimum of 10 times face".......so I wasn't sure just how good of a deal I may have received on this "Lunar Horse Coin".....
thanks for the info!
