I have a comfortable 350 to spend on a Metal Detector I could go up if the quality of longevity are much better.

I'm new and unfortunately know nothing about the hobby other than it looks fun and can potentially find some old stuff.

I'm located around frankfort ky if that gives you an idea of terrain.

Any advice on equipment or finding Locations would be appreciated!

No experience with this machine, but the reviews are good, it's in your budget, and it's by a trusted brand.

WOW wasn't expecting to get all the extras for under 300. Is 350 declared low budget? And/or any over budget can't pass up deals?

That's not a bad deal pointed out on Amazon. Yes, $350 is low budget, when the hottest machines seem to be the XP Deus - wireless headphones and remote control ($1500) and Minelab CTX 3030 fully submersible ($2500). Don't forget accessories such as a hand-held pinpointer, I couldn't go without one.
