I sold this for about $20 and it came from a lot of coins from Roma in the UK, but I suspected it was a box decoration from the time of Nerva or Trajan as I remember they have the clasped hands and there is no reverse strike. Anyone have another theory as to what this is? 20 mm, 3.76 grams

Interesting theory, I guess it's possible.

Wow, I did not even think to look at acsearch as it was not a coin. Thanks! So this must be something they made for a totally different reason then I was thinking like box decoration. As the link says could be a symbol of marriage. Thanks!

The clasped hands symbol on Roman coins is used at least as late as Marius (Gallo-Roman emperor, 268) and Herennius Etruscus (250-251).
