I'm guessing you bought this coin thinking SGS was a reputable coin grading company - usually grades a coin at least one or two grades over what it would grade at the big 3 TPG's. A joke of a grading label. Let me guess - graded MS66?

It was graded as MS70 I see several dings. Two in the field to the left and I don't believe it is a 70. Your opinions? Also, center opening on Monticello.
Picked up on ebay.

70? OMG!!!! I don't know if that would even make 64 from PCGS/NGC/ANACS

Nice expensive piece of plastic, hope you bought the coin, not slab at a reasonable price, if not, hope you can return it even if it is nice, but...price counts.

I did buy the coin and not the slab. Thanks to you guys, I didn't get hurt on the price. I knew, for what I paid, I wouldn't get hurt.

While I feel for the person buying over graded coins from deceptive companies there is NO reason for not researching this kind of stuff on the internet BEFORE you purchase. I remember the guy I most appreciated on the other forum with the horribly biased mods as "Books before Coins" . reading before buying - or else this what happens. How many millions of people do these BS grading companies and coin TV shows take advantage of the uninformed?

Learn the lesson in your favor next time.

This is a relatively common coin in high MS ... but blind trust in any TPG is sure to lead to eventual dissatisfaction.

Your choice of SGS for this coin might end up there. It's not an MS70 coin as stated above.

Always evaluate the coin ... not the plastic holder.
