I was looking through some local online auctions today and in a lot with Lincoln Cents and Jefferson nickels, there is a cent with "1970-S tyII proof" written on the 2x2. I wasn't sure if the small date was also referred to as type 2 so I did a couple quick searches. I couldn't find anything on a "type 2" 1970-s proof cent. If it was small date, I would think it would be noted as such because the 1960 and 1960-D cents in the lot are marked small and large date. Anyone know what this "tyII" (I'm assuming "type 2") proof might be? Pictures are not good enough to even confirm the date on the coin.
Rest in Peace

Never heard that one before. Although in proof, the 1970S does have large and small dates, makes sense to define it as such while the 60 censt just designate lg/sm as did 70S. Thought Types 1/2 were for design changes, clear/filled S, lettering on 76 Ike's, etc. Just some local jacko I guess.
