Let's have a vote, I am having a hard time decided if I should polish my 5 oz silver poured bars. Currently they look very rough and not shiny.
I also know that I'll lose some silver in the process and will have a hard time selling them in the future. Any thoughts?

Why do you want to polish them?
What is wrong with them having an original (and genuine) very rough cast finish?

I think you kind of answered your own question. It's just bullion kept with the ultimate intent to sell, so I'd leave them be.

Polish only a few so that way if you decide you don't like it than you only messed up a few.

Before polishing, I would try soaking it for a few seconds in coin dip, then rinsing in flowing water for a couple minutes. Pat dry with a towel. That might bring back the shine without totally trashing the bar.

Leave them be. Original finish wins the day in my opinion.
