Hello, would someone be able to explain why some coins have so many bumps on them? Found this coin in a penny roll and thought it was interesting.

It is a plating issue. The planchet was not cleaned properly before copper plating. Very common in the 80's.

it's a plating issue. They are called Plating Bubbles. They usually flatten when pushed.

Only trapped gas bubbles will flatten when pressed down. This looks like trapped "hard" debris to me. Most likely zinc dust.
