Hi all,

Girlfriend and I ran across these $1 1973 Canadian Notes with running serials.

Serials run from;

ECH6553200 to ECH6553219 (20 notes in total)

Signatures are: Crow & Bouey

They are in excellent not circulated condition.

I can't find any information regarding the ECH Prefix, could someone perhaps shed some light?

Thanks to all for checking it out and passing on the knowledge. I enjoy checking out old and rare currency.

That is the Crow Bouley 3 letter series, the most common.
There were over one billion one hundred million printed.
Needless to say that even in uncirculated condition, they
might be worth $2.00 each if you can find a buyer.

I had a bunch of $1 bills that were worn badly. I gave them as tips to waitresses that looked too young to have ever seen them before.
If they were uncirculated, I'd hang on to them somewhere safe for a few more years

The owner of the local coin store where I live says he sees a huge amount of 1973 dollar bills in uncirculated every week, he passes on every last one of them. I doubt he's the only one, he says everybody is trying to sell them and nobody's coming into his store wanting to buy them.
