Hello new to the community I've come across a 1975 mint proof set with an Ike dime with no mint mark. I've put the set in my safe deposit box so I can't be certain, but I think all the rest of the coins have an S mint mark. Is this possibly the third one in existence or am I just wishfully dreaming? I'm having trouble uploading the image at the moment, but will soon.

Sounds awesome. It is definitely possible, if there are two already, no reason that there can't be a third. If you can get some pictures the next time you visit your box, we would love to see it an weigh in on it.
Just to be sure- Are you sure it is a proof set? The proof sets came in a hard plastic with the red background in a black box, the unc sets came in a cellophane wrapper inside an envelope.

BTW Roosevelt- not Ike.

Can't you just look at your picture that you are trying to upload to verify it?

If I had a possible 6 figure NO S 75 proof dime I'd be getting it verified immediately!

He does say the rest of the coins have S mintmarks, that wouldn't be the case for a mint set. But we still need pictures.

Mark1959- exactly my thoughts. I figured that a clear way to help determine the "i think" would be something that nobody could be unsure of after holding the item once.

Sounds like you are describing the uncirculated set, not the proof set. In my previous post I shared two distinctly different packagings. Which is it like?

If it is clear with the blue stripes then that is an uncirculated Philadelphia MINT SET - no mint marks on any of the coins. Not a proof set.

It the clear plastic not the hard case, thanks for clearing that up for me. My dad was more of the coin collector, he left me a 1972 Eisenhower dollar Uncirc, don't know anything about that one either. . Thanks for the responses, very much appreciate
