Help Grading 1893-S Barber Dime W/ Errors

word_84 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 06/23/2017 04:06 am Hello! My nephew received this coin for Christmas, and we believe it may have some errors. The coin in convex, has three raised lines across the front, and the back of the dime appears to be crooked. I apologize for my lack of knowledge in being able to properly describe these things. I have scoured the internet, and have not been able to find anything like this one. We have almost zero knowledge of coin collecting, and are looking for the expertise provided by this forum to help determine a value. Thank you so much for your time, and help! Undamaged, that coin probably would be worth around $40-$50. With the damage the way it is you probably are looking closer to $5-6 unfortunately. Report this Post to the Staff
John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 06/23/2017 07:49 am to CCF. Well they look like bubbles to me so I am thinking some sort of heat damage not an error. I do recommend putting it in a new 2x2 holder and make sure to flatten the staples. Give it a bit for a pro to chime in.
