Hello group.

The Houlton coin club is taking a break. They used to meet in the Ronald McDonald room at the local McDonalds. Since they are re-building the McDonalds with out a room they are regrouping.

I am thinking about joining the Presque Isle coin club.

I can not find them on the list registry but I know a member and believe they meet every first Tuesday.

Is anyone a member of said club or any other Maine clubs?

I am thinking after the Summer I will try to hit up more Maine shows/clubs. If anyone is from Maine I would love to hear about LCSs, shows and the general state of numismatists in the pine tree state.

Hello Harmonica,

I too am located in Maine, specifically in the Augusta area. I have not joined a club yet. I believe the nearest one to me is in Brunswick- about a half hour away.

There are a few local sources for coins in the Augusta area. One LCS has an ebay store to complement their storefront. The other is a coin shop and jewelry store. There is also an antique store that deals with some coins.

There is a twice yearly coin show in Augusta. I have attended this a few times. There is usually a fair number of dealers with a pretty good variety of merchandise.

Hope this helps you a little. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
