On your coin, it's just part of the design/hair. It shows up a little sharper on some cents more than others. It makes me look twice sometimes. When you see the real doubled ear you'll know it. It's not just close like on your coin, it's exactly like the first ear. The examples shown give you an idea, when in hand it just kind of jumps out at you.
