Hi

I was doing some research on coins I found from when I was a kid and they seem to match the pictures posted here: http://artgallery.yale.edu/collecti...jects/170750

Could anyone tell me if these are real items matching that picture or perhaps cheap junk replicas?
The back of the coins tells me it's probably a replica. Even if so, does it have any value to a collector?

Thanks!

I'm no expert on these, but comparing your pix with museum piece notice some differences visually, 1) countermark looks melted, not stamped, the denticle(dots around rim) are even and has a definite raised rim. I'm confused as to your pix...pic 1 one coin/both sides? Same as pic 2, hasve same writing on each side? What is weight and diameter of coins, match that with description on museum piece. Are they magnetic? (Sure fake, as with wrong weight/size). On pic 1 coin, is there a line on rim edge, if so, is a cast fake which I suspect because of mushy details, rim area looks funny(denticles) and that countermark looks wrong. The second pic isn't a coin, a tribute token for the reign of those two kings perhaps, not worth much if anything. Looks like tourist trap purchases.

Hi Thanks for the reply, I'm sorry I should have elaborated more in the post on my pictures. Yes those are actually two different coins, each has the front and then the back text. I've come to realize they are simply replica souvenirs showing what a front and back would look like (but should be one coin!) sorry if this post was dumb!
