I'm new to the Coin World I found a 1962 nickel and 1960 in really good condition from a small town. The cashier at the shop tolde me they buy from a lot of estate sales. I dont know how to tell the difference from proof coins to buisness coins of this year. I do know that some if not all mint sets were sand blasted to in certain areas ,but the finish on the coin matches all the way around. It does appear to have full steps it is hard to see in my pictures. I would like to send some coins in for grading so I'm here asking for opinions. Thanks

Is the picture of the '62? It looks very nice and I'm wondering if it may be a proof.

Can you post pictures of both sides in a little better lighting?

Yes, clarification needed.

The pictures seem to show a proof.

Definately proof. I'll give you an FYI. If your having trouble determining by the surfaces, look at the steps. '60s era 5c are among the toughest to find w/steps & many bring 5 figures when they come up at auction. A few have fewer than 5 pieces certified & the '68D has but a lonesome single piece certified FS.
