What grade coins are you going to look for? Seen a lot of ppl that sort rolls on the forums I bet they got all but the keys in low - mid grades just laying around hehe.

If you want to just get your feet wet before deciding if you want to seriously pursue collecting US coinage, might I suggest the Eisenhower dollar series. It's a fairly short series with about two dozen coins in total, all fairly inexpensive and easy to come by (although I don't know if that last is true in Australia!)

In any case, good luck whichever way you go.
