Wondering what cause's this to happen to a RCM
non-circulating product.Thoughts?
All scratches are on holder

I would say exposure to sunlight will tone the coin like that. The coin obviously has been handled a lot as seen by the scratches on the capsule. Someone's been playing with the coin and probably left it in the sun, maybe near a window.

That makes sense. I bought it at a small Can. PO outlet with a display
near a west facing window . Approx. how long does this take to occur or can it vary ?
