Found this one a few days ago and just getting around to making the post. I think CM mentioned that one day I would eventually find one of these IN UUD WE TRUST - this one is pretty darn close. Darn it hit the wrong button here is the rest of it. Edit - more pics Edited by CoinCents 07/22/2017 4:45 pm

Thank you all - this was neat find. Plus, I learned a new word for over-polished die (Abraded Die). Every day is an opportunity to new learn new things:)

Quote: A bit to go It is close, but a bit to go. These errors are so minor, that in addition to being in an interesting location, it's important the abrasion is complete. I also think Abraded Die describes the error better than Over-Polished. Now I'm working on memory CC, but I think this is the one we were talking about.

I was hoping you would check this post out. That coin is not the one that I was referring to, so I have already been looking for that post or pics. Part of why I was not on the forum recently was that my computer died. So my son finally got a laptop running for me and my coins. He was able to get most of my files from my other computer but they are all over the place on my new laptop so I am still searching for it. I'll find it though and post it.

Still got more to go. You want them abraded to the point were you cannot see the letters anymore. One famous Abraded die error coin is the 1988 P LC "No FG" initials. It worth a small premium if you find it. Keep looking though. :)

Still can't find it. Maybe it was the one you posted, but I really thought it was related to the over-polishing problem. I'm not done looking yet, I don't give up easily. Today was great coop was here and Ken Potter was on the forum most of today (being Saturday) and yesterday as well. Just so cool In trying to find my other post I had clicked on a bunch of my older posts - wow did I have some wacky ones. Just didn't realize how much I was learning until now, but in the grand scheme of things I still know practically nothing. Thank you all so much for your help and patience. Thank you Joe - I love it when they end up spelling funny words or like E & V mentioned - being totally gone. @ E & V Quote: 1988 P LC "No FG" initials I already look closely at the 1988's for the transitional error but didn't realize this piece of information. As I mentioned before in another post - everyday gives us a new opportunity to learn and I am only 1 hour into my new day and have learned something new - pretty cool. Thanks so much.

Your welcome! I found this information out reading a book called Strike It Rich With Pocket Change 3rd Edition. Ken Potter and Brian Allen published this book. :)
