I suspect this may be as simple as someone's creation of a necklace. But wondering if anyone has seen anything similar or if this has any other significance?

May have been an apprentice practicing with an engraving machine.

Who knows what these initials mean, maybe MK is Milton Keynes. (A place North of London)
