The digs at 3 o'clock obverse and the damage to shield should immediately disqualify this from getting a cac sticker. Another possible theory is this could have been mint damage via a buckled die, debris struck through, or just a deteriorating die aka a late die state. Who knows.

Quote: This is the second post on the exact same subject. Yes I know this, Mox. Please read my preface: Quote: I posted this coin in the grading section but I should have just posted it here as to not waste anyone's time.
I should have just posted it here originally. Please don't bite my head off. I don't want to have to mess you up buster.

Anyway, twice posted or not, CAC should be ashamed of this one.

Thank you Frog! I am absolutely dumbfounded on this one. CAC just lost respect in my book. It makes you wonder if Westernsky's propaganda theories are correct. If I'm missing something on this coin, our fellow CCF members have yet to point it out. And I sure as heck trust you guys more than for-profit corporations.

One coin does not a conspiracy make.
Did you verify the cert # on CAC's website to make sure this isn't a 'sticker swap' job?
Either way, the coin does not deserve a CAC sticker of any kind, whatsoever.
But seeing one bad example and attempting to generalize that as somehow being representative of some sort of evil conspiracy or market collusion seems a bit overblown, at least for now.
