Hello. Can anyone give me information about this coin? It is a 1964 silver quarter, but it is the size of a nickel. The edge is very thick. Is this a mint error that anyone has seen? Thanks

That's a nice example of a spoon coin, damaged after leaving the mint ( PMD).

Spooned coin. PMD. No extra value. Worth 25 cents.

It's worth the silver it has in it, so $3

It has been hammered. Someone was considering making a ring, which you can do by hammering the edge flat and then drilling out the center.

to CCF. I agree,a spooned coin. Silver value only unless you finish making a ring out of it. Not that it matters, but it is a D mint mark.
