I took these awhile back with my new digital microscope so I'm sorry I don't have pis of the whole penny but I didn't know the rules then. I know nothing about coins but error coin collecting seems very interesting. This penny is a mess! The D has like a ruffled scroll edge look to it,the t has what almost looks like some sort of satanic symbol above it, he looks like he's sticking out his tongue to name a few and there are a number of places it appears to have extra dabs of metal ?cud?. Is this something that was intentionally done by someone after minting?

to CCF. It's called split plating. The copper plating gets split during the minting process and exsposes the zinc to the air. Rot starts and it looks like your coin. Not an error and only worth one cent.

Can you please post your questions and your photos (close ups and overall, both sides) in your own message? That way your concerns won't be overlooked. Thank you, nd welcome to CCF!
