I could buy these, but they will be 'kind of duplicate' from design perspective to Mongolian series, from which I have couple of coins and RCM UHR lynx coin.

I find this series and "Animal reflection" (starring "Sad Bear") nice, creative, traditional and affordable recent RCM items.

If it's a wolf coin, I'll collect it. IMHO, my low angle shot of the final coin in this series does it more justice than the standard straight-on photo -- love those eyes.

PS... CAC has a good deal on this coin

Thank you for sharing.

For me this is 'Wow'.
not for the eyes (they also nicely crafted) , but for the details of the close-up.

Out less than 2 months the wolf coin is selling at a discount at Colonial Acres for $69.99. Pretty indicative of the direction NCLT is heading. It was pretty depressing to see coins you bought at full price sold for a discount during Colonial Acres 12 Days of Christmas sale.

As for the coins themselves, they are too small for details to be seen without magnification. They should have made them as 1 oz coins instead 1/2 oz. Because of the coins small size the glow-in-the dark eyes effect could barely be seen in the dark. The eyes are simply too small.

I've kept two owl coins, but only after exchanging the pitted ones I received. Was told that the lynx also had "pitting issues," so passed on the rest of the series.

No sense paying $80 or even $60 for a 3/4oz numismatic coin with pitting visible to the naked eye.

Something strange is happening at the RCM quality control department. Seems to be hit and miss lately. No thanks.
