1967 Dime Nose Clash.

After looking at the overlay it appears to be a clash only on the nose! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

That is really cool - never found one on a Dime - I see you posted the overlay - Does it match up?

But, to answer your question A clash (for most part) is usually in field or a lower relief area on the coin, like the nose. Having it deep within the design (like the Head) is almost nil and I think if it did happen it would probably completely break the die with the force of the strike.

Wow, that's a deep one - I think I could see that without my glasses. Great find! Looks like they missed that spot on the die when they were trying to polish the clash out.

That's what is so cool about it,They polished everything except the nose. CoincentsLady, Look at the newer nickel clashes, The tell is the line in the eyes which is deep into the die. I don't know how it happens,But I love that it does!
